Top 10 Cities in 2017 to Celebrate St. Patrick’s Day

Saint Patrick’s Day is celebrated on the 17th of March each year to mark the death of Saint Patrick. It has deep historical roots leading back to the 17th century, where it celebrated the arrival of Christianity in Ireland and is a public holiday in Ireland. Today, it is a widely-celebrated event with lots of entertainment, including parades, music festivals, and pub crawls across the nation. Here’s a list of the top 10 cities to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day in the United States.

1. Boston, MA

Boston is a city with the largest Irish population and is known to hold the best St. Patrick’s Day Parade.

2. Pittsburgh, PA


Pittsburgh also has a large Irish population, representing approximately 14% of the total population and has a well-known St. Patrick’s Day Parade.

3. Buffalo, NY


Most people are unaware that Buffalo hosts large city-wide celebrations, even showcasing two full St. Patrick’s Day parades compared to just one that other cities have.
