As a result, Marriott Rewards and Starwood SPG will remain as separate loyalty programs for the next 2 years before SPG is slowly phased into the Marriott Rewards program. Right now, Marriott Reward members can also transfer points and match status on both platforms from the Marriott portal here: http://members.marriott.com/. Marriott points can also be transferred into SPG points with a 3 to 1 SPG ratio.
